Having a wife as famous as Carrie Underwood can be tricky. Navigating the world of paparazzi, millions of fans and constant media attention is something Carrie's husband, Mike Fisher, has been forced to get used to over the years.
Even though he's a superstar professional hockey player, Mike knows life with Carrie comes with its own challenges. One such challenge was keeping a big secret from his fans and teammates....
The Nashville Predators, the team Mike plays for, secretly scheduled Carrie to perform the National Anthem before the third game of Western Conference First Round against the Chicago Blackhawks. Although Mike knew about his wife's top-secret performance, he had to keep his lips sealed when the subject came up with everyone else.
Mike spoke with WKRN News about Carrie's incredible performance at the Bridgestone Arena:
"It was fun, it was a cool moment. You know, it got all of the guys fired up and, you know, the crowd was amazing and you know, it was awesome!"
Seeing his wife sing in front of all of his fans and teammates was a moment Mike will never forget!
