Not every in-law gets along beautifully with the family he or she married into. So it's a blessing when a person is welcomed with open arms by all of the in-laws.
But is this the case for England's royal family? Just recently, Prince Harry revealed how he really feels about his brother's wife, the lovely Duchess Kate.
In 2011, the world witnessed the royal wedding of Prince William and his bride Kate Middleton. Fans of the royal couple were fascinated with their wedding, their honeymoon and their life as blissful newlyweds. Everyone was enchanted with Kate's pregnancies and the birth of the next royal generation.
So when Prince Harry confessed that he looks up to Duchess Kate and considers her the big sister he never had, fans of the royals became even more enthralled with the family. While no one could fill the void left after Princess Diana passed, Kate has helped nurture Prince Harry.
The trio and two kids live together at Kensington Palace in London, although Prince Harry is in a two-bedroom cottage on the property, while Prince William and Duchess Kate and the kids are in a 22-room apartment. Prince Harry loves popping by their place and dining on roast chicken, along with doting on his nephew Prince George, four, and niece Princess Charlotte, two.
The siblings and Kate also have worked together for different charities, including working to remove the stigma that surrounds mental health. They participated in an in-depth, personal interview and starred in a PSA for the campaign called Heads Together.
In it, Prince Harry admitted to suffering from panic attacks stemming from the loss of his vivacious and vibrant mother when he was just 12. He was scarred by walking behind his mother's coffin in front of millions of spectators.
"My mother had just died, and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television. I don't think any child should be asked to do that, under any circumstances. I don't think it would happen today."
Princes Harry and William, along with Kate, launched the Royal Foundation and one of its offshoots, Full Effect, seeks to redirect kids from potentially following a negative life path. The participating kids are often drawn into gangs, but Full Effect introduces them to sports instead.
The trio also has combined forces to overhaul the British monarchy. Prince Harry said the monarchy is a "force for good and we want to carry on the positive atmosphere that the queen has achieved for over 60 years, but we won't be trying to fill her boots."
"We are involved in modernizing the British monarchy. We are not doing this for ourselves but for the greater good of the people.. Is there any one of the royal family who wants to be king or queen? I don't think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time."
Prince Harry and Duchess Kate have a special bond and a unique relationship that they are blessed to enjoy. Prince William rounds out this trio of royals that people around the globe love to follow.
The world looks forward to watching Prince Harry find true love, settle down and start his own family. Until then, fans of the royal family will enjoy seeing the second son of Prince Charles carve out a niche for himself while forging ahead with his future as he's cheered on by big bro Prince William and sister-in-law Duchess Kate.
