Even though this wasn't Angelica Hale's first time on the America's Got Talent stage, she was still a little nervous. The bubbly 9-year-old bravely took the stage a second time and got ready to belt out a rendition of Alicia Key's "Girl on Fire" that no one in the audience will ever forget.
But it's what happened after Angelica stopped singing that's really gaining attention online!
Little Angelica is no stranger being brave in the face of a challenge! At four years old, she sustained a serious kidney infection that left her in need of a transplant. Thankfully, her mother was a match and the surgery was a success.
Now Angelica wants to use her platform on America's Got Talent to promote the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and, specifically, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta where she received treatment.
The talented little lady explained the desire to help others in a video on her official website.
"I wanted to become like [popular singers], but instead of doing it for something else, I did it for raising money for the hospitals. I won't forget my experience in my hospital because that is kind of like a centerpiece in my life."
That's why her performance of "Girl on Fire" was such an emotional experience for Angelica.
Instead of shying away from the challenging vocal tune, Angelica walked onstage and belted her little heart out! The performance left the audience in shock and the guest judge, Chris Hardwick, totally impressed.
When it came time for Chris to share what he thought, he slowly raised his hand and slammed it on the Golden Buzzer! Angelica is here to stay!
After the show, Angelica took to her Twitter page to share how excited she was.
"I'm still crying too! I can't believe this is happening!"
We can't wait to see what the future holds for this skilled young lady!
