Sure, getting engaged to a prince is a fantasy many of us would like to indulge in ourselves, but take it from Meghan Markle, that keeping up with the royal family and their traditions is not easily done.
Since her engagement to Prince Harry, Meghan has vowed to end her acting career and focus on philanthropic endeavors with her hubs-to-be. There's probably also been lessons in how to master the princess wave, wear intricate hats, and curtsy without wobbling (which unfortunately isn't easy as Meghan has found out).
We are sure many of you are also wondering how Meghan faired with her first holiday season with the Queen and her family. Especially when it comes to gift-giving, how do you pick the perfect present for the Queen of England.
Kate Middleton who went through a similar right of passage not too long ago, is credited with thinking of a very homey present for the Queen - a homemade chutney using her grandma's recipe, which the Queen seemed to love!
Needless to say, we are all wondering just how Meghan topped such a unique gift! According to the Daily Star Online, the royal family is against buying expensive presents, and rather seem to prefer gag gifts that can bring a royal laugh.
So going with the tradition of not being so serious, Meghan opted to get a singing and dancing hamster doll for the Queen. Apparently, the quirky gift was not only well-received by the Queen but also by her beloved corgis who couldn't get enough of the singing and dancing.
