8 Men Crowd In Break Room, Suddenly Man On Right Begins Chilling ‘Amazing Grace' Acapella

Sometimes the power of music is so strong, it can bring tears to your eyes. A video of the Christian group Acappella singing "Amazing Grace" is one of those instances.
In a nearly six-minute clip, eight men crowd into what appears like a break room and literally break into song. The first notes are electrifying as an older gentleman belts out the lyrics in a bass voice.
"’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed."
His voice is so low that it's captivating.
Within moments, the remaining men join in, adding their baritones, leads and tenors to the song. Their harmony is on point.
Their version of "Amazing Grace" is so good, not everyone believes it's a live version. But Acappella did not lip sync or pre-record the track. Amazingly, the performance was recorded on an iPhone.
The group explains on its Facebook page:
"The proximity to the subject makes a big difference in the quality that is achieved versus what would happen a greater distance away. Notice when we move the iPhone "in the face" of Rodney Britt (the bass) you can hear his "bum bums" that aren't as easy to hear as the iPhone moves further away. And yes, we did add some reverb to the sound after the fact, but what you hear is Acappella singing!"
Acappella first launched in the '80s at Williamstown Bible College in West Virginia. The all-male group has changed members over the years, but their belief that the human voice is the greatest instrument of music has remained consistent.
The group performs without any instruments, but their powerful and beautiful music easily fills large concert halls. They've toured the world and have sold over 3 million units.
Many have been inspired by their music and unique sound, creating their own groups in high schools, churches, and other venues.
Acappella's popular albums include Rescue, We Have Seen His Glory, Set Me Free, and Hymns For All The World. Their dedication to their music has created fans in countries such as Brazil, Japan, Switzerland, and Australia.
After more than 30 years of success, they perform regularly and are continuously touring, singing a mix of old favorites and new classics for their avid fans.
