Musician's Stunning Version Of Elvis Classic At Grand Canyon
Marilyn Caylor 2/7/2018
No one can ever replace Elvis Presley, but there's plenty of singing talent out there who come pretty close to doing justice to his songs. Leroy Sanchez is one such person, and when he sings a cover of "Can't Help Falling In Love" with such ease, it's as if he was born to do it. He sounds as smooth as butter when he takes on this Elvis classic!
However, what complements Leroy's beautiful rendition even more is the stunning backdrop where the video is filmed. What could be more gorgeous than having the Grand Canyon right behind you while you channel one of the greatest singers of the last century?
Leroy's whirlwind journey began in his bedroom in Abechuco, which is a small village in Spain. He's now transcended his YouTube superstardom and is touring around the world with his new album, Elevated.
But, he hasn't forgotten his roots singing cover songs. With his buddy Kazumi Shimokawa by his side playing the ukulele, and Joel Manduke filming both musicians on an iPhone, this recording ends up being better than gold.
This multi-faceted singer and songwriter starts off low and slow, bringing magic to our ears with his soulful voice. It's pure perfection! What's even more amazing is that this live jam session was totally unplanned!
The guys were just passing through the Grand Canyon and they thought it would be a perfect spot to film a song. Of course, they were absolutely right! However, Leroy didn't have all the lyrics memorized, which is why you can see him looking down at his phone to make sure he got all the words right.
Well, he certainly got the words right, plus a whole lot more. Can't help falling in love with Leroy and his voice? Take heart, because you're not alone! His impromptu video has surpassed over one million views, and once you listen in, you'll understand why.
Elvis must be vibing with Leroy right now from the other side. It's the only way to explain how gorgeously wonderful this cover song is. Not only will you feel like you've been hugged with lots of love, but the eye candy in the background delivers an extra sweet bonus.
