The Song Is Over 45 Years Old, Vince Gill’s Tribute Brings Tears To Everyone In Room

The music industry has lost many talented musicians over the years, and although many of us fans "mourn" their passing, the sadness is very real for the friends and family who knew these artists on a much deeper level.
After Eagles co-founder and guitarist Glenn Frey left this earthly realm, his close friend and country crooner Vince Gill was beside himself with grief. Vince took Glenn's passing harder than many other musical peers because they'd been friends for a long time.
Glenn had been battling with several health issues, and succumbed to complications from them on January 18, 2015 when he was only 67 years old. Fans around the world were in shock and tears, but none more so than his friend Vince.
Just days following his passing, Vince performed a beautiful tribute to his best pal at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. His emotional rendition of the much-loved Eagles classic, "Peaceful Easy Feeling," is in stark contrast to what he's actually feeling, making it both heartbreaking and powerful to watch.
Throughout the performance, Vince closes his eyes as he solemnly sings from the heart, "I got a peaceful easy feelin'." But, it's hard not to get choked up right along with him. Losing a friend is never easy.
At one point the country star let out a genuine smile - he was probably thinking about all the good times he shared with Glenn. This Eagle may have flown the coop, but he'll always be in Vince's heart.
