When dancers Keone and Mariel Madrid walked out onto the dance floor at the Urban Dance Camp, the crowd gathered there could not wait to see just what this talented duo would do. They starred in Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" music video and people were floored at how they moved in that incredible piece.
The married couple were videotaped dancing at the camp, which has garnered almost five million views on YouTube. They posted videos on their own channel that led to other opportunities with the likes of Mark Ronson, The Ellen Show, and Dancing With the Stars.
Their style of dance is best known as urban where the choreography is left up to the individual dancer. Their moves can be pre-planned or random with an interpretation of the music that appeals best to them.
At the Urban Dance Camp, dance legends, YouTube stars, and top international choreographers engaged in the world's most prestigious dance intensive education. Dancers from around the world participate in more than 166 classes during a period of 44 days at the camp.
Keone and Mariel hit their initial pose when the first few beats of Anna Kendrick's hit song "Cups (When I'm Gone)" begins playing. They choreographed this piece that mixes sharp moves with fluid body movements that seem downright unnatural, they're that good.
The couple performs impeccable partner work, mirroring each other. Then when they separate, they move so in sync with each other that it's amazing.
At the one minute mark, they complete an adorable partner move that shows how talented these two are. At the 1:20 mark, a second group of camp participants step out onto the dance floor prepared to nervously perform Keone and Mariel's routine.
The four people dance this duet as a small group and their efforts are met with a round of applause from everyone present watching. This style of dance is so amazing to see!
