Man Takes Photo Of His Late Wife To Beach Every Single Day

Few things can turn the stunning ocean backdrop in the Italian city of Gaeta into a sad sight. The views are spectacular, the food is phenomenal and the people are inviting. To put it frankly, it's hard to have a bad time in Gaeta!
But when one local chef noticed an elderly man quietly weeping with a rectangle object in his hand, he had to get closer. What could cause this man so much pain in such a beautiful space?
It was time to find out...
It all began when Italian restauranteur Giorgio Moffa spotted an elderly man sitting alone along the boardwalk wall. Day after day, Giorgio saw the man sitting by himself and holding an indiscernible object in his hand. It wasn't until Giorgio noticed the man crying quietly that he understood the reason for his daily visit to the spot.
After chatting with the man, a 72-year-old named Giuseppe, Giorgio shared his painful story:
The following post has been translated from Italian.
"I don't know this wonderful person. I just know that his love was definitely a great love. I saw him cry. I think men like that no longer exist.
Sending you a strong hug, dear friend, you are a great man."
Giuseppe told Giorgio that he came to this spot every single day because it's a space that he and his wife loved. Bringing her photo and watching the sunset made him feel as though she was close. Giorgio shared how the heartbroken older man explained his habit with Yahoo News:
"Giuseppe told me that the reason he visits this location is that a long time ago, they spent many good times together at the small beach nearby.
They were each other's first love and they got married. It was truly a lifetime of love."
According to Giorgio, the boardwalk wasn't the only place Giuseppe took his wife's photo.
"When he goes to a place where he has been to with his wife, he always brings her picture with him."
It's clear to see Giuseppe and his wife shared a love many of us hope to have!
What a beautiful example of true love and hope enduring right up to and even past the very end!
