Thoughtful Bride Signs Father-Daughter Wedding Song For Deaf Dad

A wedding day is an emotional event for any bride's father. Not only are you handing over your daughter to another person, but you're also forced to say "goodbye" to the little girl you once knew and "hello" to the woman she is now.
It's a challenging event and one that most fathers look forward to when their daughters are young.
That sense of pride and joy is precisely what Julie Finkel's father felt when he heard of her engagement - but he had no idea she had something special up her sleeve for their father-daughter dance.
Sadly, both of Julie's parents were born deaf due to a Rubella Measles outbreak in the 1960s. Julie told Inside Edition that having two deaf parents meant they did things a little differently in their home:
"I think I was signing before I was talking. When I am at a loss for words in English, I know exactly what to sign. I even dream in sign language sometimes."
So when Julie got engaged to the love of her life, Rob Norton, she knew she had to do something special for her parents. She selected "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts for the father-daughter dance and created an incredible sign-along video to accompany the music.
When it came time for the daddy-daughter dance, Julie took her father's hand and the pair walked onto the dancefloor. As soon as Julie's face popped up on the projector, her father's face lit up.
What in the world was going on?
That's when Dad realized his daughter was signing the lyrics to the song on the video. She wanted him to feel included on her big day - and this was the best idea she could've ever thought of. Not only did her father feel included at that moment, but he also understood just how much Julie cared for him.
She was his baby girl and that was never going to change!
By the end of the song, Julie's father was in tears and struggling to keep it together. She told Inside Edition that his emotional reaction was the only confirmation she needed to know she made the right choice.
"He looked absolutely shocked. He was grinning so much, and he just looked like he was in awe. At the end of the song, he couldn't keep it in anymore and he was crying."
Even though no daughter wants to make her father cry, Julie had the perfect reason to do so. She clearly loves her father more than anything!
