Mom Walks In On Toddler Singing To Baby Sister But His Tear-Jerking Next Words Instantly Bring Her To Tears

Big brother Kashton loves his sweet little sister Ellis and makes sure she knows it. Even though he's young, Kashton already understands how fragile life is and what a blessing his baby sister happens to be, considering her rough start to life.
Mom Corey Johnson was thrilled to be expecting a precious baby girl to join their family of three. Kashton couldn't wait for his little sister to arrive either.
As her due date loomed, something terrible happened. Corey suddenly awoke from a coma after giving birth to Ellis in the operating room -- she was born without a heartbeat.
"I knew every second she had no heartbeat meant another second of possible inflicted brain damage. If you've never experienced something like that, I can tell you, you have never felt as helpless as you do in that moment. I couldn't do anything to save her. I couldn't move. Although there was screaming and panic all around me, I laid still in the most painful silence you could imagine."
When Corey finally laid eyes on her baby, she was shocked to see that she only weighed slightly more than two pounds. Ellis was the size of Corey's hand.
Ellis spent two months in the neonatal intensive care unit fighting for her life. Corey and her husband Ken spent those days begging and pleading with God to save their baby's life.
Kashton only saw his sister shortly after her birth, because they were unsure if she would survive. He knew he had a baby sister, but she was very sick.
Finally, Ellis pulled through and once Corey and Ken knew she would be coming home to join them, Kashton was able to see her one more time. Then one day not long after Ellis was brought home after a rough 60 days in the NICU, Corey captured the most beautiful footage of her children.
Ellis was lying under her play gym with Kashton beside her. She was wiggling and cooing, so he decided to sing to her.
"Go to sleep little Ellis."
Suddenly, Kashton began to cry. Alarmed, Corey asked him what's wrong.
Kashton replied, "I'm crying because it's good." Corey asked him what is good.
"This with Ellis ... It's so beautiful like this."
Corey said her son was so overcome with emotion at that particular moment. After being apart from his baby sister for two long months, he could finally be close to her.
"He had witnessed so much in those two months between myself and his sister. I can only imagine this was a moment of sweet relief that we were all together again."
Corey grew weepy when she heard Kashton's response and encouraged him to give her a kiss. She reminded him of how much Ellis loved him.
