Woman Helps Man Short On Money At Store Only To Shriek When Finds Out His Real Identity

Most of us have a list of celebrities we'd like to meet one day! While everyone list is different, we can all agree Keith Urban would be a fun person to hang out with for a bit and say hello to. Well, that's exactly what happened to one woman from New Jersey named Ruth Reed.
The elementary school teacher was carrying out her weekly good deed when she realized the recipient was none other than country music superstar Keith Urban. But when Keith tried to introduce himself and thank her, Ruth had a hilarious reaction...
Every week for three years, Ruth has made it a point to treat someone random at her nearby Wawa (a popular East Coast gas station chain). When she went to help a stranger who appeared to be down-on-his-luck this past week, she had no idea who the man really was. It wasn't until the transaction was complete that Ruth figured out she actually met one of her all-time favorite artists.
Ruth's now-viral post read:
"For three years, I have made a resolution to, once a week, treat someone at Wawa. Occasionally, it happens more than once a week. Last night at trivia, Richard, Mike, Shana, Hayley, and Tim gave me the extra money to use at Wawa.
This man was short a few dollars, he asked a lady with him is she had money. I jumped in and said I would pay and explained why. He thanked me and asked my name.
I asked his [name] and he told me it was Keith. I said he did look like Keith Urban, he said he was."
"I didn't believe him, I asked where Nicole was and who was the lady. He told me it was his sister. He finally said that I could ask his bodyguard. It was then I realized what an idiot I was.
He graciously allowed me to get my picture taken with him.
Another Ruth Reed moment!"
Thankfully, Ruth was there to help someone in need. She just wasn't expecting the person in need to be an international country music superstar! People first started to pay attention to this interesting interaction when Ruth's former student, a young woman named Olivia Rose Prouse, spotted her comment on a local community Facebook page and shared it on Twitter.
"My favorite story of the day is how my 3rd-grade teacher thought Keith Urban was down on his luck and couldn't pay for his Wawa snacks so she bought them for him. What an angel."
If this is a typical "Ruth Reed" moment, we need to hear more stories from her past! We can only imagine the silly high jinks she's gotten herself into before.
