Teen Treats Stranger To Coffee Who Shows Up At Her Home

We all love hearing about random acts of kindness and how they brighten someone's day. But for one woman, her small gesture had a different result.
A 19-year-old college student felt compelled to purchase a cup of coffee for the woman in line behind her at Starbucks. Little did she know, that woman would end up at her house later that day.
Mackenzie Mauller had no idea the consquences of her good Samaritan actions. When she arrived home, she discovered that the woman for whom she'd purchased the coffee had actually been at her house.
The student found a note in her mailbox from the woman. She poured her heart out to Mackenzie in that letter.
"Thank you for the coffee! I rarely go to Starbucks and treat myself, but the last couple of months have been a bit of a struggle."
The woman, Nicole Clawson, confessed that her father had passed away, breaking her heart. His absence also made it difficult for her to get to work, because he watched her children for her while she was at her job.
On that fateful day when Mackenzie and Nicole's paths crossed in Starbucks, Nicole's babysitter had cancelled and she was forced to take the day off from work. So she and the kids ventured out to Starbucks instead.
"I decided to buy my kids breakfast and get myself coffee with total guilt because I am going to be a stay-at-home mom for awhile."
When Nicole realized that Mackenzie --still a stranger to her -- had bought her coffee at Starbucks, she burst into tears. It was so sweet of her and Nicole really needed a boost that day.
Strangely enough, as Nicole was back at home, she spied Mackenzie pulling into her driveway just a few houses down! She couldn't believe that the good Samaritan from Starbucks actually was her neighbor!
That's when Nicole decided to express to her newly discovered neighbor just how much her kindness meant to her. She told Mackenzie that it was "more than just a coffee.
“It was something that has turned my whole day around, put tears in my eyes and a smile on my face and I feel so grateful. Thank you.”
When Mackenzie heard Nicole's saga, she decided to offer her help. She volunteered to babysit Nicole's kids!
This random act of kindness went beyond one welcomed cup of coffee. It turned into a neighborly friendship and a wonderful example for Nicole's kids to follow, too.
