Olivia Newton John Comes Forward With New Diagnosis

Sadly, Olivia Newton-John is no stranger when it comes to health scares. Cancer has been something she's dealt with for years - and she's used her fame to help raise awareness, money, and support. But when Olivia recently opened up about yet another diagnosis, hearts broke around the world.
No one was ready to hear of Olivia struggling yet again. Thankfully, she has an outlook on things that can make us all smile from ear to ear...
When Olivia first announced she had breast cancer in 1992, she knew it was her responsibility as a celebrity to be vocal about her struggle. She planned events, donated money, visited other patients, and even opened the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness Research Center in Melbourne, Austrailia.
But when Olivia noticed a lump in her shoulder in 2013, doctors broke the hard news a second time: the breast cancer was back. Olivia admitted on the Austrailian show Sunday Night that her second round with disease was a private one.
"The first time I talked about it. The second time I thought, 'I don't really need to share this. It's not something I need to share with people. It's my life'. I just decided to keep it to myself."
Thinking the cancer was on the way out due to the shoulder lump's decrease in size, Olivia went on with her life. Unfortunately, things weren't done for her yet...
In her Sunday Night interview, Olivia shared her most recent diagnosis. Doctors found more cancerous tissue at the base of her spine. It seems as though, while the shoulder tumor was fading, the disease continued to spread elsewhere. Even with this life-shattering news, Olivia doesn't let it get her down.
The Austrailian superstar said she won't allow herself to feel scared - even during the darkest moments.
"I don't go there. I'd be lying if I said I never go there. There are moments. I'm human... But my husband (John Easterling) is always there and he's always there to support me. I believe I will win over it."
With a loving husband, loads of family and friends, Olivia knows she has all the support she needs. She has the best possible doctors on her team and is researching natural methods to help combat the disease as well. But for now, Olivia says she's lucky.
"There are people out there doing much worse than me. I'm a very privileged person and I'm very aware of that. I live in this beautiful place. I have a wonderful husband... I have an incredible career. I have nothing really to complain about."
We know that nothing can keep Olivia down. She's a ray of sunshine the world needs now more than ever!
