Anna Christine's Audition On America's Got Talent Is One For The Ages

Think back to when you were 11 years old... Were you building forts and chasing schoolyard crushes? Or were you standing in front of eager audience members belting your heart out? Well, if you're 11-year-old Las Vegas native Anna Christine, you'd select the second option.
Just after hitting the double-digits, Anna Christine was able to accomplish something few elderly musicians can say they've done in their lifetimes. She auditioned on America's Got Talent for millions of viewers at home – and she totally knocked it out of the park.
Her powerful voice boomed across the theater leaving the judges in total shock. How could such a fined-tuned sound come from someone who can't even stay at home alone?
From the time Anna Christine was five years old, everyone in her family knew she was meant to be a superstar. She was singing all the time, copying her favorite soundtracks and belting to the words to jingles she heard on television. By the time she hit eight, Anna Christine's mother was confident she had the skills to try a career in music seriously.
That's why Mom allowed her daughter to follow her passion unrestricted and was more than proud when she asked to try out for America's Got Talent. When the AGT camera crew asked if she was nervous on the day of her audition, Anna Christine said she didn't have to be as long as Mom was by her side.
"She's always been there, and she always will be, and I don't have to worry about anything as long as I'm with her."
Even with such a supportive force there, it was impossible for Anna Christine to ignore the gurgle of nerves churning in her stomach. All of her hard work and dedication led to this point – she couldn't ruin it all now by allowing anxiousness to take over. She shook it off, gave host Nick Cannon a big grin and walked onstage to confront the judges.
After joking with Howard Stern for a moment and introducing herself, it was finally time to start singing "House of the Rising Sun" by The Animals. She closed out the countless eyes staring back at her from excited audience members and got to work.
Sure enough, every note was on point and her keyboard skills were breathtaking.
Typical preteens aren't able to perform as Anna Christine did – and the judges knew it. They immediately passed her through to the semi-final round where she competed valiantly before being sent home. Even though she didn't win the top prize, she's still pursuing music now and doesn't seem to have any plans to stop!
