Teen Has Interaction With Homeless Man That Gets Noticed

From the moment Matthew Resendez was born, his mother, Michelle, made a point to teach him right from wrong. He was going to be a contributing member of society who knew how to show others respect and give all of himself when the less fortunate needed it the most.
Thankfully, all of Michelle's mothering paid off when Matthew encountered a homeless man while working at their local Burger King. Matthew was in the middle of his shift when the disheveled man wandered in the store with a handful of coins looking for food.
Instead of turning the man away, Matthew did something that made his mother proud - and learned the meaning of "instant karma" along the way...
As soon as Matthew got home from his day at work, he ran to his mother and shared what happened to him. Michelle couldn't keep her pride contained. Beaming, she wrote a post gushing about her son's gesture and the kind stranger who thanked him for it seconds later.
"Proud mom moment!
Matthew worked this evening and a homeless gentleman walked in the restaurant with 50 cents and asked if there was anything on the menu he could buy.
Matthew asked him what he would order if he could, and the man said anything would help his hunger pains..."
"So Matthew rung him up for a hearty meal and then used his own debit card to pay for the man's meal.
He handed him the receipt and told him to relax and take a seat. The story could end there and it would be a happy ending, but apparently, a woman watched my son during his random act of kindness.
Not only did she write the company to let them know about the caring employee they had working for them, [but] she also rewarded my son with a very generous tip!
So proud to be his mom and I can pat myself on the back knowing that I've played a part in raising this big-hearted young man."
Matthew easily could've sent the man out of the store, but he used his own hard-earned money to give him a warm meal. It's only fate that the generous woman was nearby to witness the whole thing.
There were two brilliant acts of kindness that day, and it shows there are more good people in the world than we think!
In the time since posting her son's story, Michelle's sweet words have been seen millions of times and liked by more than 162,000 people! It's clear everyone loves to hear of people making a difference (and getting rewarded for it).
