Customers Are Hit With 'Truth' After Man Pays For Groceries

The key to a successful viral video is a good premise and a good gimmick, but sometimes when all that slips away, what's left is just remarkable human kindness.
Coming up with a worthy YouTube "prank" premise can be tough. Most of the time, these pranks are mean-spirited and not all that funny. Yet, one YouTube content creator named Stuart Edge came up with a wild premise that could create some fun video moments all while doing a good deed.
Of course, to pull it off, he'd need some help. Professional acting help. Luckily, he called on his friends Bart Johnson and Charan Prabhakar, from Disney's High School Musical to help.
While Bart and Charan made conversation with the family, Stuart approached and said he came from "management" that's "upstairs."
"Don't worry," he said, waving his hand at Bart and Charan, "they can't see me." Doing their best to sell it, the chatty Bart and Charan kept quiet while Stuart stood there.
He'd make small talk, insinuating that he was an actual angel. Eventually, he placed his, uh, heavenly smartphone near the pay station, picking up the tab for their groceries. Then, as quickly as he arrived, he'd walk off leaving the customers confused.
At that point, Bart would then ask the customers to pay and then feign confusion as to how the order was already paid for.
The bewildered shoppers would look around, stunned that the two cashiers didn't see the man in white. They'd point to the direction that Stuart walked off, and then Bart would say that actually the management office was in a completely different direction.
For the most part, people didn't react much other than with some confused stares and smiles. It's the perfect fodder for a prank video. But, in one case, the reaction was too real to keep up the gag.
One family was more moved by this random act of kindness than others. Stuart and the gang eventually found out that it was their son's fifth birthday. They'd suffered financial hardship, and they were about to pay for their holiday groceries with credit cards.
Stuart couldn't let that stand. So, he told the family to go back through the store buying up whatever they needed. He covered the whole bill.
Moved, both the mother and father openly wept, hugging the people involved. They also pledged to pay it forward, looking for the ways they can help others in need.
For Stuart, there could have been no better way to say "Thank you."
