Dog Never Wagged Her Tail Until She Met This Kind Human

Think about all of the times you've seen your dog's tail wag. Before meals? You betcha. When it's time to go for a walk? Oh man, talk about the wiggles. Even just calling them over for a quick pat on the head can elicit a tornado of tail wagging.
Sadly, all of the simple doggy pleasures in life were things Blossom the mix-breed pup never got to enjoy. She never wagged her tail and when Rocky Kanaka, a famous dog advocate, discovered her things looked grim.
Instead of turning his back on Blossom like every other human had in her life, Rocky took her home. She wasn't going to live out her days in a dingy shelter!
From the time Rocky was a child, he knew he had a calling to save animals. His bio on the Save Our Shelters website explains just how deep his love for dogs runs. It goes far beyond fostering!
"Rocky Kanaka has always had a passion for pets and working in the pet space. It started with his company, The Dog Bakery. Through local in-store events, he was awakened to the massive problem of pet homelessness in the US and he wanted to find a way to do more to give back. He started by donating proceeds from his store as well as hosting pet adoptions but the impact was just not big enough...
Rocky has become a pioneer in the pet industry. As an entrepreneur and pet expert, he is dedicated to serving pet parents that care about the health of their pets as well as shelter dogs...
Rocky's business acumen and dedication to dogs in need are highlighted... [when] Rocky helps reform struggling rescues and shelters by coming up with innovative solutions. By highlighting these organizations and the animals they are helping, Rocky hopes to inspire the audience to join his mission to save lives and save shelters."
That love for dogs and unbelievable level of patience was put on display when Rocky fostered Blossom. He worked on her time frame, allowing her to warm up to him when she felt comfortable. It took some time, but she eventually came around.
Now she's happier than ever surrounded by Rocky's other dogs.
The kindhearted rescuer and television personality told Dogster that he's learned more from dogs than they could ever give back to him.
"Dogs can teach us so much, but one of the most powerful things they teach us is how to live in the moment."
With Blossom safe in his home, Rocky can turn his attention to finding the perfect furever parent! We wish her a peaceful rest of her journey.
