Daughter Finds Items Belonging To Neighbor After Cleaning Dad's Place Out

Even in his elder years, Ken Watson was quite the derring-do, and did everything from perform risky stunts while strapped to the wings of an airplane, to learning how to skydive at 85. However, the last stunt the retired deep sea diver pulled off right before he passed away had never been done before, and the way he managed to keep it a secret stunned everyone.
Ken absolutely adored his little 2-year-old neighbor, Cadi, and they instantly struck up a friendship. After the man's funeral, Owen Wilson was surprised when the man's daughter came knocking on his door. Somehow the nearly 90-year-old Ken had been stashing away items that obviously "belonged" to his sweet little girl.
Ken's friendship with Cadi went so much further than anyone realized. He knew that a time would come when he wouldn't be able to give her a Christmas gift. So, he picked out and wrapped 14 different Christmas gifts, so that Cadi would have a new one to open every year until she was 16. Owen told the BBC:
"Our elderly neighbour passed away recently. His daughter popped round a few moments ago clutching a large plastic sack. In the sack were all the Christmas presents he'd bought for *our* daughter for the next thirteen years."
Owen and his wife, Caroline, called her mother in Ireland on FaceTime, and they all started to tear up over their neighbor's big heart. It was so unexpected, and no one knew just how long he had been hoarding them, or if he had thought to put together this sweet gift together towards the end of his life.
Even though the rule was supposed to be one present per year, there was a problem. None of the gifts were labeled as to which year or what order they should be opened! A gift meant for a 2-year-old would be much different than a gift for a 13-year-old!
Owen couldn't resist, and did unwrap one of them, which was a book. He could tell there were some other books in the lot, and three or four soft toys. As for the rest of the items, it's anyone's guess what's inside!
Ken, who was in his late 80's before he passed, lived near Owen and Caroline in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. He had only been there for two years, and doted on their sweet baby girl from the moment she was born. Owen said that Ken was a "real, real character" and his actions certainly live up to that statement.
In a day and age where some people don't even know their neighbor's names, or worse, they wouldn't even recognize their faces if they saw them in the store, it's so heartwarming to know that there are people like Ken out there to make this world a much happier place.
Ken's best stunt ever was actually done after he passed away.
