Curious Baby Cows Spot Farmer's Camera In Grass Becoming Adorable Scene Caught On Film

If you've ever seen the "happy cow" commercial campaigns that show California cows living the good life, you may have wondered to yourself if that were actually true. After all, the vast majority of cattle raised in the United States is factory farmed, and the living conditions are anything but nice for them.
But, if you're one of the lucky calves born on this beautiful farm in Millbrook, Ontario in Canada, then you're free to romp around the lush pastures, splash around in the ponds, and take in the background scenery that's filled with lots of trees, rolling green grass meadows, and flowers galore! There's proof positive that these babies are happy, because a GoPro camera they found on the ground recorded an adorable moment of their precious lives.
The herd on this ethical farm is small, which means all the cows practically know each other by name. The farm avoids growing veal as a food source, so the calves have a chance to actually grow up to become cows and bulls. These sweet, intelligent animals are provided with top notch veterinary care, they're treated very well, and most importantly, they enjoy a natural life in the great outdoors.
Of course, any farm can say any and all of that. It's the herd's behavior that says more than mere words can convey. And if the babies are happy, then all is good! So, the farm decided to leave a camera on the ground to see what the calves would do. Many animals are naturally curious, and cows are no different. When the little ones spotted the camera on the ground, they wasted no time in checking this new thing out with a close up view.
At first the calves were all hesitant, but then there was Fiona, who was the bravest girl of this rowdy bunch. Taking one careful step at a time, she slowly approached the strange toy. After giving it a couple of sniffs and licks, she backed away. When she tries to identify the strange contraption through her sense of smell, her sniffles are too cute for words!
The camera's view was so clear, you can even make out Fiona's name on her ear tag, and see the fly on her nose suddenly take flight. As her snout gets closer and closer to the camera, it's not hard to imagine that she's really just a big doggo who just wants to give you lots of love and kisses!
Soon the other calves in the herd followed Fiona's lead, and just like inquisitive children, the baby cows lined up one by one so they could all take their turns with their super sleuth sniffs and licks! When they push their big nostrils towards the camera, their cute snorts and grunts can easily be heard.
But, since there wasn't anything spectacular about the object, they turned up their noses and backed away. Their behavior just goes to show that if we truly understood just how intelligent these animals are, we would treat them better as a whole and put our food dollars towards ethical farms that truly do raise happy cows.
This lucky GoPro is at the receiving end of lots of adorable baby cow licks and kisses!
