If you are a fan of music, especially R&B with a hint of rock, then you probably know the iconic singer Pink. Known for her husky and raspy voice, Pink has given life to songs such as “Get the Party Started” and “So What”. She is also a Grammy winner who is famous for her adventurous and gutsy personality.
Pink is an amazing artist and she proved just how good she is once again when she opened the Dolly Parton Musicares Person of The Year event last February 8. Her powerful vocals gave the audience a beautiful rendition of Dolly Parton’s 1973 hit, “Jolene”.
Wearing a black ensemble, Pink looked absolutely gorgeous as she stood onstage to pay tribute to Dolly Parton’s popular song. Her vocals were undoubtedly remarkable and her style of singing gave breathe to an entirely new version of the iconic song. The audience loved her performance! Pink, after all, is a tremendously great artist and we all know that when it comes to her performances, this lady surely does not disappoint. She is without a doubt talented!
And her having a Grammy nomination yet again is only proof that she is an amazing singer. Pink got her 20th Grammy nomination this year with her single “What About Us”, which was nominated for Best Pop Solo. Her album “Beautiful Trauma”, on the other hand, was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album.
It could have been another addition to her Grammy collection, but unfortunately the artist did not take these awards home. However, Pink was not saddened by all these at all because despite that fact that she did not win the trophies in the Grammy’s, she was still and will always be the winner in her children’s heart. This, in truth, would have to be the greatest award of all.
After losing the Grammy for Best Vocal Pop Album, Pink’s children knew they had to do something to cheer their Mom up. The kids stepped up and they made a homemade Grammy award for Pink made of aluminum foil!
It was the sweetest gesture and Pink was absolutely touched by her kids’ thoughtful act. She posted a beautiful snapshot of her daughter, holding the trophy on Instagram saying:
“Thanks Kids:) my favorite kind of award.”
Willow, Pink’s seven-year-old daughter, looked absolutely adorable as she was lifting the aluminum trophy over her head. The award may be homemade, but the love and thoughtfulness behind it is undoubtedly heartwarming and comforting.
What a sweet way to turn things around! Losing the Grammy may seem sad, but having kids as sweet as Pink’s make everything easily better.
Pink really does Dolly Parton justice with her rendition.
