Samantha, a local Minneapolis native, walked into the MakeoverGuy studio, ready to discover a new side to her. She allowed Christopher and his team to go wild and gave them free reins to making her over. She was excited to find out what kind of look Christopher was going to create for her.
Christopher Hopkins is Make Over Guy. He started working in the beauty industry in 1990 with the Christopher Hopkins Salon inside the KSTP Television Studios in Minneapolis, MN. He took care of making sure the on-air talents of the TV studio looked good on TV. He also appeared on Good Company regularly, as a host.
When he moved his studio to downtown Minneapolis, he renamed it Christopher Hopkins Image Center and led him to work more with celebrities and well-known personalities, including as a regular guest expert on The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2000, he relocated his salon to Uptown Minneapolis and renamed it Revamp Salonspa. This is where he really focused on makeover experiences for women over the age of 45, who are looking to maximize the second part of their life.
In 2017, after years of giving makeovers to hundreds of women, he opened the MakeOverGuy studio, which overlooked the Historic Mississipi River Front in Minneapolis. In the MakeOverGuy, he continues to inspire and educate women on beauty, style and creating a brand new second life. And his clients continue to be impressed with his magic. Mary Jensen calls Christopher a "magic man" and he and his team made her feel pretty. She said from the time she walked in, she was welcomed, pampered, and educated, and she had the best experience of her life!
Kim Esser even traveled from Florida to get her makeover with Christopher. She said her experience with Christopher and his team was incredible! She says his gift is to empower women and bring out their beauty. Patty Swensen says Christopher is the best stylist she ever had because he brings out the beauty in every person and every client, and he sends them home feeling even more beautiful.
Samantha found out about MakeOverGuy and Christopher through her teenage daughter, who found him online. Her family gave her the makeover as a birthday present. She said she wants the makeover because she wanted to prove that you can try something new. And just because something has worked before, she believes you don't need to do that forever. She didn't know what to expect and she's excited how Christopher will transform her based on his first interpretation of her.
When she saw her new look, she said she was overwhelmed. She's looked the same for most of her life and she didn't know it was possible to change it this way. They asked her what her teenage daughters would think of her new look and she said they were going to be surprised.
