Change can be a good thing, but many of us are far more comfortable doing things that we've been doing for a long time. Sometimes, too, we're so used to how we look that we don't think about changing things up like getting a new wardrobe or a haircut.
One man, however, was inspired to get a haircut after his aunt said she wanted to see him with short hair. The new look shocked him and made him realize what he had been missing. It also made him look like an entirely different person!
Frankie lives in New York, the city that never sleeps, the Big Apple. He works as an actor where he plays minor roles as an extra. He has always loved acting and when he was young he used to play the lively, young character types. Now that he's 65-years-old, he usually plays the old homeless guy character.
It's not hard to see why, considering Frankie's look. He has long, gray hair and a beard that sometimes gets stuck in his zipper jacket. His Aunt Francie, who is around a hundred years old and still going strong, wanted Frankie to get a haircut. Aunt Francie watches the Rachael Ray Show religiously, which is how Frankie managed to get a makeover on the talk show.
When asked about his personal life, Frankie admitted that his "creepy, old guy" look hasn't earned him any dates so far. So, he was really looking forward to an amazing makeover.
Then Frankie was invited to the show and given an unbelievable makeover. When he turned around and saw himself in the mirror, he couldn't believe his eyes! Even the audience was amazed at his transformation. He looked like a completely different person.
His salt and pepper beard was gone. He now sported a clean-shaven look, with short hair styled delicately. Also gone were his flannel shirts and large jackets. The makeup artists gave Frankie a more laid-back and stylish look. Looks like he won't be getting the old, homeless character in future gigs anymore. He'll probably be cast as the stylish theater director or scholar!
People watching in the studio and at home couldn't have agreed more with Frankie's makeover. Not only did he look younger, he also looked stylish and interesting. Frankie also said that the outfit made him feel more confident and comfortable.
With a blue sports jacket, a floral shirt, dark jeans, and brown dress shoes, Frankie looked like he was ready for a glamorous night under the neon lights.
Although he won't be getting the usual homeless man role, he will certainly get bigger and better roles in the future!
