I love attending concerts. It's that one night that happens after months of excitedly waiting for my favorite artists to perform live. Are they going to sing my favorite song? Will they bring out a surprise guest? There's just so much to think about!
Speaking of surprises, you've probably witnessed a "surprise performance" in a concert before. If you have, then you'd know how exhilarating it is to watch. Some guests even end up stealing the show like the lovely lady you're about to see...
Just seeing Michael Bublé in person was enough for Nicole Zahn.
But the 27-year-old got more than she bargained for when the popular singer performed at the Key Bank Center in Buffalo, New York. Nicole, who is a native of North Tonawanda, was given the once in a lifetime chance to sing with the star that night. It was definitely a moment she'll remember for a long, long time.
Nicole admits that she's a big fan of Mr. Bublé. So it was a stroke of good luck when she and her boyfriend Matt managed to snag last-minute tickets in the second row. They didn't think twice about ditching their previous seats for a more up-close and personal experience with the star.
Sure enough, being so close to the stage had its perks. Not only did Nicole and Matt get the chance to be within an arm's reach from Michael, but something unexpected — and amazing — happened during the concert.
As the concert went on, Michael came down to their section and began asking if anyone can sing. There were other folks who volunteered, but Nicole's ever-supportive boyfriend made sure that his girl fulfilled her dream of singing alongside Michael Bublé. He loudly shouted, "My girlfriend Nicole, she can sing, she can sing!"
Michael took notice and gave the microphone to Nicole. Without hesitation, she sang her heart out. Nicole's song of choice was Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah", an excellent song choice by the way. To her amazement, the whole audience was cheering her on! And it was a well-deserved recognition as she sang so beautifully
To be fair, Nicole has been singing all her life. She works as a registered nurse at Buffalo General Hospital and recently signed up to sing for a local band. Talk about the best of both worlds, you go Nicole!
Aside from getting the chance to watch an amazing show, Nicole now has another reason to remember that night. It's just another reason to love attending concerts.
