Many of us dream of performing on a massive stage in front of a gigantic audience for the world to see, especially during our childhood. So what happens when a choir full of little children takes the stage at Britain's Got Talent in front of the likes of Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon? It seems as though the judges didn't know what to expect either, until the children from Flakefleet Primary School surprised all of them with a cover of Queen's ever popular song "Don't Stop Me Now" complete with costumes and a wonderful dance number.
"Don't Stop Me Now" was originally recorded for Queen's 1978 album "Jazz" and since then has become a timeless classic rock song. Its upbeat, joyful tempo with its cheerful lyrics never fails to get someone's feet tapping. The song's cheerful nature has proven itself time and time again and was even chosen for the 1980 Summer Olympics.
With their enthusiasm just as powerful as their voices, the children's cover of the song sent the show's judges into a fit of ecstatic laughter. The addition of props and costumes that matched the lyrics of the song proved hilarious with the audience. The choir even included cardboard masks of the judges' faces in their lineup of costumes which many of the judges found priceless.
The children's performance was filled with overwhelming, contagious happiness that they shared with the audience and the judges alike. With absolutely no signs of stage fright, hesitation, or anxiety, the choir poured all of their practice and determination into their performance, never hesitating or showing doubt. The cheer brought on by their performance sent the judges into tears of joy, earning them a golden buzzer. All of their success is thanks to the work of their coach, who Simon Cowell applauds for having accompanied them every step of the way and nurturing their confidence and enthusiasm to perform. Cowell even explains how he believes that moments such as this are truly what Britain's Got Talent is all about, spreading and sharing cheer through a performance for everyone to enjoy.
