Soccer Game Comes To A Halt When Players Hear Sound

Every nation has a national anthem. As a musical composition that reflects patriotism and highlights the country's struggles, traditions, and most importantly, its history, it is usually played and sung during festivals, sporting events, and other cultural celebrations. Its purpose is not confined to just highlighting the nation's culture and background. It is also a way of expressing national identity. This explains the need to show utmost respect to the flag and the national anthem. It reminds people of their heritage and the people who made priceless sacrifices for the nation's safety and freedom.
"The Star-Spangled Banner" is the national anthem of the United States of America. The title was inspired by the U.S. flag and its 50 stars and 13 stripes. As the country's patriotic anthem, it has become tradition for well-known artists to sing it with pride at major sporting events although there have been instances of forgotten lyrics and off-key renditions. Still, it is paramount that singing the national anthem should precede national events and celebrations.
Recently, issues involving paying respect to the national anthem have sparked debates online. Despite this, two, all-female soccer teams displayed proper conduct as the national anthem played in the middle of their game. It happened on a Tuesday afternoon during a playoff game when the national anthem played from the nearby Malstrom Air Force Base. Both teams immediately stopped playing and the head referee paused the play clock promptly. It was indeed a refreshing sight to witness young and old alike understanding the importance of respecting the national anthem.
This short clip shows that even parents and other spectators chose to do the same. A national anthem evokes feelings of pride and patriotism. It is only right to understand that respecting it, as well as the nation's flag and history, is not something to be questioned. After all, what possible inconvenience could pausing and waiting for the anthem to finish cause? Immediately putting a game on hold for the national anthem is a sign that these girls are being raised as good citizens.
Coaches, referees, players, and spectators alike did not hesitate to remain standing and express respect for the national anthem. This display of patriotism and decency shows that good examples can be exhibited in simple yet significant ways.
Through such behavior, others are influened positively and educated on the value of heritage and patriotism. These girls certainly set a good example and it's so uplifting to watch them make such a bold statement with no words being involved.
