Students look up to their teachers and they can become role models. For them, their teachers are amazing, special, and truly wonderful. Some students even model their own actions from their teachers.
A Turlock elementary school teacher, however, has an artist she really looks up to: Michael Buble. When she heard that he's going to have a concert at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, she bought tickets just to see the artist. And her students, who totally adore her, decided to make an awesome sign that they hope would get Michael to turn his attention to their favorite teacher.
And it totally worked! During the concert, Diana Fairbanks stood in the crowd holding the sign her students made for her. Surprisingly and fortunately, Michael noticed it. And after knowing that the sign was made by Diana's 6th-grade students, he was more than happy to put his autograph on the sign.
At that point, Diana expressed another request from her students. They actually wanted her to sing a song with the artist. Their pick was "A Whole New World".
The song wasn't a surprising choice. Straight out of Disney's film Aladdin, it's a song that earned tons of awards, including Academy Award for the Best Original Song and Grammy Award for Song of the Year.
It was first recorded by Lea Salonga and Brad Kane who happened to be the voices of the main characters of the film. Other artists, such as Regina Belle and Peabo Bryson, recorded their own versions.
Michael was ecstatic to grant the students' request. And the way he introduced Diana was kind of amusing. He even regarded Diana as the next American Idol before placing the microphone on the nervous teacher's hand.
And as the two were singing, the audience was happily cheering them on. Michael forgot several of the song's lyrics but Diana took the lead. Their performance was really entertaining that the crowd was clapping when it ended.
The teacher was obviously delighted at what had happened. The Turlock Unified School District was happy, too. They even shared the video on social media, considering Diana as a star and recognizing her students' effort in making the performance possible.

Diana's performance with the talented Michael is just an experience one wouldn't be able to forget easily.
