The Classic 'Hallelujah' Beautifully Transformed By Rob Landes And Aubry Pitcher

Two musicians create a tremendous rendition of the well-known 'Hallelujah,' by Leonard Cohen. The award-winning Rob Landes uses the effect of looping his instrument – a process that allows a recorded section of a song to play back immediately so that another tune can be played on top of it. This effect allows the violinist to perform violin trio with himself with a most beautiful piano accompaniment by Aubry Pitcher to add even more grace and presence.
This is an infusion of timeless songwriting and a piece of modern music technology that is so refreshing to listen to. The violin and the stringed instruments in general are known for their ability to sound like a human voice and violinist Rob Landes portrays this unique quality of his instrument so exquisitely. He creates what sounds like a full chorus of strings (and human voices!) when he gets to the last verse.
With all of their grace, expression, and precision of performance, this stunning pair of musicians make it true that music transcends time and space. They were certainly thriving on the unique connection that music creates between human souls, and the outcome is simply divine and will leave you with chills.
