Stressed Student Naps On Train, Wakes To Gift From Stranger

Have you ever wanted to just sleep all of your problems away, hoping things would miraculously get better after you wake up? Well, stuff like that just doesn't happen in real life... unless you're Ella Johannessen.
Like many college students, Ella was both stressed-out and strapped for cash when she boarded a train at the Kings Cross station in London, England. Her bank account was missing a few important digits, and she didn't know what she was going to do.
After Ella made a frantic phone call to her mom about her financial situation she tried to snooze her troubles away. But, when she woke up the surprise of her life was waiting right in her lap.
Worrying about how you're going to pay your bills is something we can all relate to. Sometimes even a seemingly small amount of money can be a very big deal! On her Facebook page, Ella said that she rang her mother after she noticed the dismally low funds in her bank account:
"I was rather stressed and upset over my financial situation and was trying to locate what had happened to £35 that had been sent to me over a bank transfer. I spoke to her about how little money I had, how worried I was about my finances and I got upset."
Folks have a lot of different ways of dealing with stress, which can range from healthier options such as doing yoga, to the not so good for your waistline junk food binges. All Ella wanted to do was take a nap.
These days it's pretty easy to find out what people are up to on the Internet, but we forget that our cell phone conversations can provide instant insight into our private lives, too. Someone overheard Ella's tearful conversation with her mother, and decided to do something about it.
"After speaking to my mum I hung up the phone and went to sleep, I woke up about half hour later and noticed a napkin on my lap."
While Ella was conked out in her seat, a kind tooth fairy dropped a sweet surprise into her lap. Except, they didn't want an icky used tooth in exchange, and this gift was substantially more than the loose change they normally leave under the pillow.
What Ella found tucked away inside the napkin turned on the waterworks! In the past 18 months she's had to deal with the loss of her father and both of his parents, so the £35 she desperately needed was pretty much the last straw that was about to break her proverbial camel's back.
"Under the napkin was £100. I started to cry - this is because I was incredibly thankful for your kindness to someone you don't even know. I want to say thank you to the person who gave me this gift, I hope you will eventually see this."
This stranger's selfless act showed Ella that there are still good people, and amateur tooth fairies, living among us in this world. She plans to pay this kindness forward as soon as she is able to.
However, kind acts don't always have to involve money. Surely someone who is down on their luck will soon find a sweet surprise dropped in their lap, too.
