Most of us can barely get our children into the bathtub, let alone participate in a lengthy dance routine! Well, for Paige Glenn and Artyon Celestine, dancing is just a way of life. They love to boogie with each other and decided to do so during the Murrieta Dance Project competition.
Together, Paige and Artyon moved in a way that conveyed the lyrics of "Beauty and the Beast (Tale as Old as Time)" perfectly.
We all know Beauty and the Beast for the fantastic cast, mesmerizing songs and funny animations! But the taleactually traces back to a French fairy tale of the same name created by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont.
Jeanne-Marie set the tale in France to reflect her own upbringing. It followed the unlikely romance between a bright young woman named Belle and a monstrous beast with a cold heart. After being forced to stay in the Beast's castle, Belle grew fond of the Beast for his true nature. Belle's love provided the Beast with the magic he needed to transform back into a handsome prince!
This heartwarming tale was later picked up by Disney and, after trying to produce the movie in the 1930s and 1950s, the company finally struck gold in 1991! The film pulled in $351 million dollars worldwide during the initial release and is still considered to be one Disney's most beloved animated films.
Even with all the fancy-pants animations released today, children still love Beauty and the Beast. Paige and Artyon's love for the film is why they decided to dance the part of Belle and the Beast for the movie's hit song "Beauty and the Beast (Tale as Old as Time)."
What they were able to do onstage together was absolutely adorable! It makes sense that they brought home the first-place trophy for their performance!
We can't wait to see what the future has in store for these sweet little dancers!
