Couple Opens Door To Show How They Live In 60 Sq Ft Van

We now live in an age where millennials, and their out of the box ideas, are taking the world by storm. Young folks used to go on backpacking trips before they got a real job or started college, and they certainly still do this. However, these days, not all of them stop traveling once they get back home.
When millennials settle into life as a responsible adult, they don't always look for an apartment to live in. It turns out that their car will do the job just fine! It may only be 60 square feet, but Chelsea and Ryan proudly call their vehicle their home, but it's not as uncomfortable as it sounds.
Wandering souls dream of hitting the road whenever they want, and some of today's millennials seem to be reincarnated hippies at heart. They want to be able to combine work and play, and living inside of their vehicles helps them do exactly that.
With their converted cargo van, Chelsea and Ryan Stevenson are able to go wherever their gas money can take them. Their "mobile" home has the creature comforts of a full-sized abode, and yes, that includes almost everything - plus the kitchen sink too!
The Boise, Idaho couple have gone all out to make sure that their van actually feels like someplace they want to live. There's a super comfy bed, a kitchen sink with a cute backsplash, a mini fridge, wood paneling with recessed lighting, a computer desk, USB ports, and yeah, there's even room for the dog!
The only obvious thing that's missing is a shower and a toilet. Of course, public toilets can be found everywhere, although it's certainly not the most ideal way to "go." As for showers, most gyms have them, and a $60 gym membership is all it takes for Chelsea and Ryan to keep up with their daily hygiene routine.
The couple's "mortgage" is only $500 a month - which is the cost of their monthly car payment. Like many millennials, Chelsea and Ryan are entrepreneurs, and they work remotely. As long as they can hook up to the Internet, they're good to go.
Watch the Inside Edition video to find out how low their total living expenses are. With savings like that, Chelsea and Ryan can literally take off on a road trip, and vacation where ever they want! This is certainly a huge upgrade from the old California surfer hippy days.
