Man Gets Envelope From Stranger At Bank Only He Opens It & Immediately Goes Flying Out The Door

May marks the graduation season, a flurry of ceremonies and celebrations. It's also a time when many parents are hit hard by the fact that their kids will be leaving the nest for college, the service, or maybe even to backpack overseas.
Dad Rob Edwards of Florida was on cloud nine the day of his son's high school graduation. But first, he needed to make a quick stop at the bank before it closed.
He politely held the door to the bank open for a female customer entering behind him. Once she walked inside she turned and waited for him to proceed ahead of her, but he told her she could go before him instead.
"I said, 'By all means go in front of me. Today my son graduates. I’m slowing down and want to savor every minute.'"
The two complete strangers chatted about their day, life, even the roller coaster ride of parenting a teen. The female was helped first, then Rob took his turn with the next available teller.
When he glanced down to grab his wallet from where it was sitting at the teller's booth, he was shocked to find an envelope perched on his billfold. How did that happen?
As the female stranger whom he'd just befriended walked past him she said, "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you." Rob admitted he was taken aback by the woman's goodbye, but turned back to the teller and finished up.
Rob left the bank, opened the envelope and discovered quite a surprise. Inside was a crisp $50 bill!
He exited the bank quickly and searched outside for the woman. He found her sitting in her car and insisted that he couldn't take the money.
But the stranger refused to take it back. She told him:
"When you talk about your boy, YOU GLOW. You're a blessing to him, I want to bless him, too!”
Rob confessed he was touched by the woman's gesture. He could not believe someone with whom he'd spoken to very briefly at the bank would do something so sweet and thoughtful for his son!
"I don’t know her name; I’ve ever seen her before. But I will never forget her love. I asked to take a picture with her. And hugged her neck. We need more of this in the world today. Not the money. But kindness. I hugged a complete stranger today. My son who I love with all my heart was shown love. Many of you who know me know what I believe in. Sounds kinda familiar don’t it. It warms the father’s heart to love the son. I am blessed."
This good Samaritan had no inkling just how much of an impact her gift made on Rob. Congrats to his son Cole and may we all learn a lesson in positivity and kindness from the stranger.
