Kids often do crazy things that make parents scratch their heads. And when a child falls in love, there's no telling what he will do to get the attention of the girl he is pursuing.
A little boy named Tommy had a crush on a girl in kindergarten named Millie. He decided to surprise her with a very special gift. But little did Tommy know that his present would be so shocking to Millie's parents.
Millie's dad was so blown away by the gift that he decided to film himself chatting with his daughter about the gift. When he turns on the camera, he says matter of factly with little emotion,
"Millie got proposed to at school. Who proposed to you, Millie?"
His daughter, an adorable girl with blonde hair who is about six years old, smiles at the camera and answers happily that a boy named Tommy proposed to her.
Her reaction is so sweet! You can't help but chuckle at the thought of one kindergartner proposing to another. Millie's dad turns the camera back on himself and says,
"So Tommy has proposed to Millie. And she keeps telling us she's got a ring in her bag, so like anyone we was expecting the ummmm...Haribo ring."
Haribo rings are popular in England. They are gummy treats that you can wear on your finger and also eat as a snack. But little Tommy did not give Millie a Haribo ring. He gave her something much more stylish.
Millie's dad asks his daughter to bring him the ring that Tommy has given her, and it is definitely not a piece of candy. The young man proposed to Millie by giving her his mother's engagement ring!
Millie's dad shows the sparkling ring to the camera and says in disbelief:
"Tommy has stolen his mother's engagement ring!"
Tommy certainly has good taste. The ring includes three enormous diamonds. Meanwhile, a women who is presumably Millie's mother is laughing hysterically off camera.
The video has been shared nearly 300,000 times on Facebook. People are tickled by the clip, which has prompted many of them to their own stories of young love and "proposals" at school.
